Government Affairs
The Government Affairs department is devoted to reinforcing the
mission of the YCBA in promoting and supporting the building industry.
The key to accomplishing this mission is a strong network of communication
in the legislative and regulatory arenas. The YCBA is unrelenting
in its endeavor to protect the industry and continue the fight to
keep housing affordable in York County. The government affairs webpage
is designed to demonstrate all of the ways the YCBA is engaged in
government affairs issues, and how you can become involved!
The YCBA Legislative Round Up is a monthly publication
designed to keep you informed of current news that affects the building
industry!
Land Development Discussion Group
The Land Development Discussion Group meeting series is a forum
designed to address land use issues in York County. The mission
of the Land Development Discussion Group is to effectively impact
issues affecting land development in York County through proactive
efforts to create awareness and influence key decision makers. This
group meets
every other month with the goal of affecting positive change
in the land development process. The diverse group which includes
builders, developers, legislators, municipal officials, engineers,
and attorneys is focused on identifying issues and developing solutions.
Some recent topics include Traditional Neighborhood Design (TND),
the land development permitting process, the Chesapeake Bay Tributary
Strategy, and intergovernmental cooperation.
