This PHRC Program is intended to help builders, code officials, design professionals, remodelers, trades, and others involved in the residential construction industry. April 20 - April 21 - One day: Certified Renovator Training - EPA's Lead Base Paint Rule
EPA’s Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule will become fully effective and enforceable on April 22, 2010. The Rule applies to all “renovations,” including many typical housing maintenance activities, performed for compensation in pre-1978 “target housing” (occupied by children under age 6 and/or pregnant women) and pre-1978 “child-occupied facilities”) daycares, schools, or any building that a child frequents) when the work will disturb paint, stain, shellac, and varnish that has not been tested and certified as lead free. York Builders Association has engaged the CONNOR Institute, an EPA-accredited national training provider, to offer the required new EPA Certified Renovator initial full-day course. Note: register early class is limited to 20 participants.
